A Message from All God's Children MCC

ICE's Presence in Our Community

In the face of the escalating violence and terrorism of federal ICE agents continuing to spread throughout our community, All God’s Children MCC remains committed to supporting anyone that is afraid or vulnerable.

We ask that anyone interested in safely resisting ICE read the informative flyers below, available in both English and Spanish, with tips for keeping yourself and those around you as safe as possible. If you or anyone you know needs food, a ride to work or medical appointments, or who just needs to be encouraged because they are afraid of ICE, please send an email with the relevant information to [email protected]. We are grateful to those members of our church who have offered to deliver food, give rides or words of encouragement. All God’s Children MCC is here to help and respond to these needs as best we can!

All God’s Children MCC offers our deepest and most profound sympathies to the family and friends of both Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti, each of whom was gunned down by ICE agents in Minneapolis, just miles away from our church. They were beloved members of our Twin Cities’ community, and they will be deeply missed.

In the coming days, as we support and protect one another from all those who would come to our city looking to spread harm and intimidation, we will remember Renee, Alex, and all those who have been taken from their loved ones by ICE, and work to make the world a better, safer place in their honor.

Renee Nicole Good was a woman in the prime of her life, a poet, a mother, and a queer person who chose to make her home here in Minneapolis with her wife and young son. She was our neighbor, one of our queer siblings. She was loved by those who knew her, and she was taken from them by the gun of an ICE agent who came to our city looking to spread fear and violence.

All God’s Children MCC offers our deepest and most profound sympathies to the family and friends of Renee and to the queer community, who have lost one of our siblings. As a queer, spiritual community, we are a safe place for anyone who feels unsafe or afraid. Our church’s doors remain OPEN to all, and whether you need a quiet place to be out of the cold, a warm cup of coffee, or the chance to speak with someone who will listen, All God’s Children MCC is here for you, just the way you are. If you feel unsafe or unable to leave your home, we can come to you, whether that’s with food or kind words of support. Immigrants, people of color, queer individualsanyone who has been persecuted or relegated to the margins of societyall are welcome here. Our congregation is comprised of an endlessly diverse group of devoted individuals, all of whom proudly proclaim that we are loved, by God and by one another. And we will share that love with anyone who needs it.

The church is open from 10am until 5pm, Monday through Thursday, with meetings available to be scheduled on Saturdays. On Thursdays, we have Thursday’s Table, a chance for anyone who needs a warm meal to come and share lunch with us completely free of charge. And of course, we’re open every Sunday. Contact the church at [email protected] with any questions, or to schedule an appointment with Pastor Kenny.

In the coming days, as we support and protect one another from anyone who would come to our city looking to spread harm and intimidation, we will remember Renee and work to make the world a better, safer place in her honor.
