Finding a spiritual community that's right for you is a journey. We encourage you to visit our church and experience for yourself the loving, diverse, and compassionate Christian community we've formed. Introduce yourself to our pastors. Receive a special blessing from a Prayer Partner. Or grab a cookie and coffee after service in our fellowship hall and meet some congregants. We think you'll find a GLBT worship community like no other.
The Benefits of Membership
Once you've become familiar with All God' Children, you may want to consider becoming a member of the church. By joining All God's Children you'll gain a sense of ownership and belonging from a Christian faith community that embraces you just as you are.
When you join, our church makes a formal covenant with you to support your spiritual journey. And, as a member of All God's Children, you'll influence the direction of the church by having voting rights at Congregational Meetings and the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors.
Formalizing your membership at All God's Children also benefits the church. The commitment of support from our members forms the bedrock of our faith community and outreach ministries.
How to Join
Joining All God's Children is simple. Living your life faithfully takes a lifetime.
First, attend our New Member Orientation Class that is held every two months. There you'll have a chance to meet the pastors and some of the other church leaders. You'll meet other GLBT Christians considering membership too. You'll learn about the worldwide system of Metropolitan Community Churches and about the history of All God's Children Church. The class leader will explain the important rites and sacraments of the church and its mission and values.
You'll also learn about opportunities for service that will be available to you as a member. The New Member Class is a great time to ask questions and make sure you've found a spiritual home that will allow you to grow in Christ's love.
Then, if joining All God's Children seems like a good fit for you, the next step is to have your membership confirmed and blessed. This brief confirmation ceremony takes place during a Sunday service and includes the other members of your New Member Class. The ceremony affirms the mutual covenant that our congregation makes with you and that you make with All God's Children. Welcome to your new place of worship and service.
