Scripture: Luke 11:1-13

We are community formed by the power of the Holy Spirit, called to live out God’s reign in a world built on the logic of power, money, and violence. Our very identities as God’s community invites us to live God’s alternative of beloved community, trusting in Jesus’ faithfulness to a gospel of liberation for all God’s children. And yet, the world resists our witness to God’s love and abundance, and we wonder if God hears our prayers and understands the challenges we face in trying to be church. As we continue to be God’s community, our prayers should always remind us to trust God for our daily bread and to anticipate God’s reign.
