Ash Wednesday – Ash & Dash

Wednesday, February 17 is Ash Wednesday. We will not be airing a livestream worship service. Instead, from 6:30 – 7:30 PM you are invited to come to the church parking lot for our Ash & Dash event. Simply drive into the large parking lot behind the church building and Rev. Steve Robertson will apply the ashes and give a blessing. You will be required to wear a mask and will remain in your vehicle.

Following the ritual you will be given an Ash Wednesday at home Liturgy that you may use for your own meditation and personal reflection once you return home. You also will be given a Lenten Devotional Booklet to be used throughout the 46 days of Lent. This booklet will go along with the Worship Series we will be using during Lent.

Ash Wednesday – Day of Ashes – marks the beginning of Lent. The ashes placed on the forehead or hand in the shape of a cross symbolize both death and repentance. We show repentance and mourning for our sins because we know Jesus died for our sins.

No appointment is necessary. Just drive through from 6:30 – 7:30 PM.
